It's very popular these days to have photos printed on special sugar paper or rice paper using edible ink. We have special equipment for this and can prepare and print your family photos or other images for that special occasion.
We can accept digital photos in most PC formats, including jpg, bmp, tif, pdf, and photos embedded in Word documents. Please be aware that some images, eg. those taken on mobile phones, may not always be a high enough quality to enlarge - see example on the right. If you need a large print, please make sure that the file you send us is large enough. Small png files sent from mobiles are often far too low resolution for printing unless they are just for a small logo. 500Kb-1Mb is a rough guide for an A5 size print. If you are sending from a mobile, zoom in first to see what the picture looks like.
If you are sending us a pdf with the images all late out as required, please make sure that the paper size is A4, not American Letter size, and that you have allowed for the margins as mentioned on the right. The same applies to Powerpoint slides - make sure the page setup is A4, as PP can have very non-standard page dimensions!
We can also scan in your printed photos, and for cupcakes we can cut the 'paper' into circles or print onto pre-made circles if required. On fondant sugar paper we can fit 15 disks of 2" and 20 disks of 1.75" on each A4 sheet; on rice paper/card we can fit 16 x 2" and 24 x 1.75" because the margins are smaller.
Cutting Out
We can cut out your circular cupcake toppers of 1.75" (4.45cm) and 2" (5.1cm) at a charge of 75p per sheet.
Types of edible 'paper'
Fondant sugar paper is the most popular. This is suitable for small or large prints for cupcakes or larger cakes up to a maximum size of A4. (8.27x11.69 inches or 210x297mm) However, please see note about margins on the right.
Standard rice paper is inexpensive but very thin and best suited to cupcake toppers. Being thin it is also quite transparent.
NEW! Rice card. This is almost twice is thick as the standard rice paper and so is less transparent. It also shows a slightly higher quality image than standard, though not as good as fondant.
